Here in the Lair, we have the equipment (and skills - over 20 years experience) to make things HAPPEN ! We have experience in many popular styles of music such as rock (including acoustic), hip-hop and metal. We have worked with countless hip-hop MC's, rock and metal bands producing their music. As far as metal, we are experienced in the most extreme. In fact, 'Subterranean' was the name of the first song we wrote using a new extreme detuning (Lucid Truth uses this 'Subterranean Sound'...). Below are pictures of the 'business area', here at The Lair. On one end, we have the mixing/mastering area. We use SONAR Producer's Edition software in our 'DAW' recording system along with PreSonus FireStudios. Mixing can be done in stereo or 5.1 surround sound (we can even simulate a car stereo system during mixing/mastering). Our mixing board is a Behringer MX9000. Note the Lucid Truth bass and guitar rigs. You wouldn't have to use these. In fact, we generally encourage use of your own amplifiers, etc. as that generally would produce the best results for the sound you are looking for. Also note the purple piece to the right of the vocal booth microphone and bass guitar rig. This is an Auralex Max-Wall, an acoustically designed moveable vocal booth wall. We understand the importance of acoustics. We also have a variety of microphones (SM57, SM58, snare/tom mics, bass drum mics, overhead mics, condenser mics) so the recording can be done properly no matter what the instrument (or vocals).

And if you need to take a break, we have our lounge area, complete with refrigerator (you can bring drinks)...
While space is limited here at the Lair, that really doesn't matter. We can track small ensembles or most instruments/vocals seperately. If you have a group ensemble (with drums), we would travel to your location and record you there. Once those recordings are completed, everything else (additional recording, mixing, mastering, etc.) could be done here, in house at the Lair.
